Abuja —
The federal lawmaker representing Anka/Talata Marafa Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, Hon. Isa Mohammed Anka, has charged his daughter, Rukayya Isa Mohammed, to uphold the principles of Ibadah (worship and devotion) in her marriage for a successful and lasting union.

Rukayya was joined in matrimony with Mallam Mustapha Habib last Friday at Al-Nur Mosque, Abuja, in a ceremony that drew family members, friends, and political associates.
Speaking during the wedding reception, Hon. Anka expressed profound joy over the union, revealing that the relationship blossomed naturally and matured into marriage without his initial knowledge. He commended the couple for their discretion and maturity, noting that such a foundation bodes well for their future together.
The lawmaker urged his daughter to be diligent and committed to her husband’s decisions, while cautioning her against the “third-party syndrome” that often destabilizes marriages. He emphasized the need for her to draw strength and guidance from the Holy Quran, describing it as the divine compass for wisdom and success in all aspects of life, especially in marriage.
“In Islam, men are the protectors and maintainers of women,” Hon. Anka said. “I am confident that Mustapha, being God-fearing, will live up to his responsibilities. I encourage Rukayya to obey the teachings of the Quran, trust in her husband, and always seek Allah’s guidance.”
Hon. Anka further assured the newlyweds that he would not interfere in their marital affairs, but would support them through prayers and fatherly counsel when needed.
In his remarks, the groom, Mallam Mustapha Habib, expressed deep admiration for his bride, describing Rukayya as a woman of faith whose lifestyle attracted him long before their courtship began.
“She was raised with the fear of God and that has been evident in her character,” he said. “I believe our union will be blessed by Allah. With her strong moral and spiritual upbringing, I am committed to loving her and building a stable home.”
Mallam Habib also encouraged his wife to stand by him, avoid external interference, and prioritize communication in resolving any issues that may arise.
The ceremony was marked by prayers, goodwill messages, and celebration of love in line with Islamic tradition.
