Nollywood actress and film producer Ruth Kadiri has called on the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to step up regulatory enforcement against the widespread circulation of fake and hazardous products across Nigeria.

In a video shared on her official Instagram page, Kadiri voiced alarm over consumer safety, warning that counterfeit and contaminated food items, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and household goods pose severe, life-threatening risks to the public.
The filmmaker urged the regulatory body to deploy more stringent oversight and enforcement mechanisms to curb illicit manufacturing and distribution networks, stressing that public health protection must remain a top national priority.
