Sen. Wamakko commiserates with Sokoto east flood victims

SENATOR Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko( APC-Sokoto) has commiserated with victims of last Wednesday’s flood disaster that ravaged houses, livestock and farmlands across four villages of Gada local government area has described in the eastern axis of Sokoto state due to heavy down pour.

However, no life lost in the incident that occured across the affected villages which include Dantudu, Balakozo, Gidan-Tudu, and Tsitse respectively.

However, reports say no fewer than 1,700 people have been rendered homeless following the incident that also destroyed unquantified number of houses, livestocks and almost 600 hectares of farmlands submerged.

Wamakko who is the state APC leader and senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District , described the incident as shocking and disheartening while praying Allah to avert recurrence of the unfortunate incident as contained in a statement issued Monday by his Media Assistant, Bashar Abubakar.
