IN a renewed effort to further provide window of opportunities to youths for profitable skills in business venture, the Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN), and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) have jointly commenced the training of 400 hundred unemployed youths from across Sokoto State on how to effectively prepare profitable and acceptable feasibility studies and business plans.
The tripartite synergy is aimed at encouraging a sustained platform that would guarantee the success of driving the course for self reliance and expanding the scope of youths participation in the growth and development of going concerns as obtained in other climes globally.
The development flagged off on Tuesday according to a statement by the Senator’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani, comprised of youths that were recently trained in five vehicular and residential security fields by Senator Wamakko, through an Abuja-based firm, CleanTeach Technical Services .
The fields included : Closed Circuit Television Installation, Security fence installation , Smokes detector services , Car Tracker and Auto Dialer Installation.
The three day training the statement explained was organized by Senator Wamakko, CBN and NDE, with a view to making the graduands benefit from the N 25 billion set aside by the Bank for disbursement to Nigerians, with N 780 million earmarked for Sokoto State .
Declaring open the training, Senator Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District said that, the exercise was a sequel to the three week training he recently sponsored in Sokoto.
Wamakko who was represented by his Director of Administration, Alhaji Al-Mustapha Abubakar Alkali, said,” these youths would be told the basic rudiments of an effective, efficient,profitable and acceptable feasibility studies and business plans.
” This is in the bid to make them expeditely qualify to benefit from the N 25 billion earmarked by CBN, to be disbursed through NDE and can upon scaling through benefit with between N 500,000 to N 9 million .
” These loans are collateral -free , as I would be their guarantor , hence, they should use the funds wisely , upon succeeding. “
The state NDE Coordinator, Alhaii Isa Jibrin, commended Senator Wamakko for the unparalleled gesture, even as he promised to work assiduously to ensure the success of the partnership .
The leader of the CBN Team, Alhaji Faruk Abdullahi, explained the various modalities on how to effectively draw from the loan scheme, even as he also vowed to work to make the tripartite partnership worthwhile .
The apex bank official also urged the participants to prepare workable feasibility studies and business plans, which should also be in tune with the extant needs of the people of the state
