Sokoto state chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC) has accused the ruling PDP government in the state for alleged non performance describing it as a “We will do this, we will do that” administration.
Besides, the party maintained that since the reelection of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, under highly controversial circumstances, the State Government has failed to take or unveil any program or projects that will lead Sokoto State out of the much acclaimed poverty, for which the State has won the first position, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
” We are so to say, first from behind.”
The opposition party has also accused the government as one full of unending chain of promises that would never be realized in the life time of its administration.
The state APC chair , Hon. Sadiq Isah Achida in a release he signed and issued to reporters Monday extending the chapter’s goodwill to President Muhammadu Buhari, other elected officials on the party’s platformand appointees said Sokoto state PDP led government had in he past twelve months nothing to show and celebrate.
According to Achida” the state government has failed to take stock of its performance in the last twelve months as tradition demands, hitherto, proved deaf ears and which we are not surprised compared to other states.”
” This is obvious because the government has failed in the provision of infrastructure. It has also failed in the provision of welfare even to its supporters”, he pointed out.
However, the state chapter of the APC also noted that even those sympathetic to the PDP in the past, have broken ranks with the PDP led government in Sokoto State.
It alleged that the state government might cash on the prevailing Corona Virus pandemic as an excuse to cover its unpardonable failures to he people of the state.
” It is on record that the pandemic first appeared in Sokoto State in March this year and governors with the intention to perform have already established themselves for all to see and acknowledge”, Achida stated.
Achida hitherto observed that people of Sokoto State were in a gross state of panic to learn from non other than the Governor, that the vehicle in which they were traveling, and to which he is the driver, lacked brakes.
