Sokoto APC House of Representatives member, Honourable Sani Alhaji Yakubu (Sokoto-APC) has distributed food items, textile materials, farm input and financial assistance worth N63 million to constituents.

Yakubu who represents Gudu /Tangaza Federal Constituency in the National Assembly told reporters during the exercise on Thursday in Sokoto that 3 trucks of food items and a truck of fertilisers were distributed.
He said the items which include 1500 bags of Rice and millet , sugar , fertilisers were gestures as part of incentives to cushion the effects of hardship and empower both women and youth ahead of the Ramadan fast.
” The gestures will take care of Ulamas , Imams of Juma’at mosques, indigent households and other less privilege persons and associations .”
According to the lawmaker who also disclosed that he has built a block of 3 classrooms, provided furniture and renovated some, added that ” I have also provided solar powered light and boreholes, built 9 mosques at Araba Birnin Tangaza LG.
” I have also renovated General Hospital Balle and Kalanjeni in Gudu LG”
He also disclosed that no fewer than 20 students , 10 each from Tangaza and Gudu LGs had been screened for scholarship awards to study various courses at a Kano University.
According to the lawmaker, ” All these will gestures will be a continuous exercise and have committed attention to strengthening responsive synergy with security agencies for the protection of lives and property of our people “, while disclosing that he has provided logistics to brace operations against banditry in addition to initiating strategic approach to gathering intelligence through locals to brace security agencies operations.
” You know our area is among those experiencing bandits attacks which we have to come in to mitigate the trend .”
