Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim, Chairman Sokoto North local government area has assured Yoruba resident community and others within the area of adequate security of their lives and property.
Alhaji Ibrahim stated in Sokoto Thursday while receiving on courtesy call, leaders of the Yoruba community in the area led by its Chairman, Mr. James Olorunfemi.
The council Chairman said it was the priority of the council to ensure peace and security of lives and property of all resident communities and locals, noting that safety of all was paramount to development.
According to him” nothing is as rewarding and advancing in clear terms as peaceful co-existence, harmony and unity”, stating that, the council would not compromise it’s direction on that.
He further assured that they would not be left behind in the scheme of governance, adding that” We will not relent in carrying you along in pursuing the policies and programmes on the council’s affairs.”
Earlier, Mr Olorunfemi said they were at the council’s secretariat to present themselves as well demonstrate their spirit of peaceful co-existence and support to the development of the local government.
” I am assuring you of our support and cooperation as a community organ towards achieving the success of your policies and programmes”, he said
