Following the validation of his reelection by the Sokoto state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal Wednesday in Abuja , Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal said he has dedicated the victory to God and the people of the state.
Tambuwal made the declaration shortly after the tribunal verdict before a mammoth crowd of PDP supporters who converged on the Sokoto Government House in solidarity with the governor.
According to Tambuwal” there is no doubt that power belongs to God and is His will that I emerged victorious at the inconclusive general elections and now at the tribunal”, he stated while acknowledging the persistent support and prayers for him by the people of the state since beginning of the struggle.
Tambuwal further thanked the election petitions tribunal for its fairness in handling the election petitions, urging opponents to join hands with his administration to work for the development of the state.
” I will like to reiterate the determination and readiness of this government yo drive a human oriented rolling plan for the execution of laudable and beneficial projects across the 23 LGs of the state”, he assured.
Also in his brief remarks, former Governor Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa appealed to supporters of all political parties in the state to rally support for the Tambuwal led government for the prosperity of the state.
