Tambuwal extols BOBA’s leadership legacy

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has extolled the Barewa Old Boys Association(BOBA) for enriching the country with great leaders of repute.
Tambuwal made the remark in Sokoto when he received a delegation of top officials of the association led by its immediate past president Alhaji  Umar Mutallab who represented General Yakubu Gowon(rtd) and the current National President, Engineer Dahiru Ibrahim in Government House, Sokoto.
The governor further noted that the association’s strength of purpose has over the years developed the nation through enhancing it’s manpower needs by giving reliable leaders with integrity and self moral.
” We are proud of your track record of having the most of professionals and erudite scholars who went through the college tracks as. fountain o‎f knowledge.
” It has put the college on a unique and amiable state of recognition across the country and beyond”, he pointed out.
Earlier, in their separate speeches, Mutallab and Engineer Ibrahim stressed late Sir Ahmadu Bello’s legacies as one of them in the row of 5 prominent leaders of the country that passed through the college academic setting to the highest position of national leaders.
” We have produced 5 President’s and prominent leaders‎ with integrity and morals whose legacies still remain unbeaten”, they explained.
The duo however, expressed sincere appreciations to Governor Tambuwal while ‎acknowledging his support to the association’s annual lecture which is part of chronicled activities slated ahead of the college’s 100 years anniversary celebrations in 2021.
According to them” we started the activities last year with Katsina and now in Sokoto while the climax will hold in Zaria to culminate the grand occasion.”
On the delegation which comprised the association’s NEC and BoT members were: former Kwara Military Administrator, Generals Alwali Jauji Kazir(rtd),‎Bashir Salihi Magashi, Prof. Ahmed T.Mora, Chief Ramond Ihyembe, Alhaji Mahmud Sulu Gambari, Mr Marc A. Mshelia among other prominent members who are also expected at today Saturday’s lecture to be graced by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governors Aminu Tambuwal and Nasiru El-Rufa’i of Sokoto ans Kaduna states respectively
