Inorder to strengthen and ensure responsive governance, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has vowed to overhaul the state government machinery.
The move is to further rejig the system for effective service delivery to the people of Sokoto state.
Tambuwal dropped the hint at a state the PDP stakeholders interactive meeting in Sokoto Wednesday.
The all important event was held at the Sokoto state International Conference Centre, Kasarawa.
The governor also said all mistakes of the past would be reviewed with a view to effecting corrections for the benefit of all and sundry in the state.
Tambuwal further stressed the need for those assigned responsibilities in government to put the interest of their communities above their personal interest for the overall development of the state.
However, Tambuwal expressed gratitude to the PDP campaign council, various, committees, women, youths and elders for their contributions to the party’s victory in the state.
Accirdingly, the governor acknowledged and praised youths for shunning violence during and after campaign, urging them to maintain the good attitude for optimum peace and harmony in the state.
In the same vein while commenting on elections petition, Tambuwal said PDP has already filed petition challenging the declaration of first round of Governorship election as inconclusive.
” We will adding also cross petition the second round of the election once filed before the election petition tribunal by the opposition party with a view to retrieving its stolen votes.”
Tambuwal also vowed that PDP would file petition to retrieve all its stolen lawmakers seats.
He asurred that Sokoto works school would soon be revived to enable people in the state to learn various trades for self reliance.
Earlier, the chairman, state PDP campaign council, Engr. Bello Suleiman attributed the party’s victory in the state to the will of God and urged stakeholders in government to support the administration whole heartedly to enable the Governor provide dividends of democracy to the people.
