Tambuwal signs N189 billion appropriation bill into law, commend APC lawmakers for harmonious conduct

Sokoto state governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal signs into law N189 billion 2O23 appropriation bill as he commended APC lawmakers for their spirited understanding working with their PDP counterparts in the interest of the state.

The governor while signing the bill Wednesday at the Government House Chamber, Sokoto appreciated the cordial working relationship with the Sokoto state House of Assembly (SOHA) since inception of his administration.

According to Tambuwal , members of the state assembly had demonstrated commitment and patriotism for the development of the state with particular commendation to the All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the assembly for working together with their Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart in the interest of the state.

In the same vein, the governor appealed to all stakeholders and government functionaries who would hopefully work on the implementation of the budget to dedicate themselves to the course in order to ensure effective and impacting implementation for the benefit of people of the state.

Tambuwal who’s two term tenure of four years was approaching it end also thanked the judiciary for the good working relationship with the executive in the discharge of their duties effectively.

He also commended the civil society organizations and development partners who always participate in the budget process throughout his tenure and urged them to continue to give their best.

Similarly, the governor thanked the Sultanate Council, traditional and religious leaders for the support and cooperations to his administration while appreciating the commitment and dedication of the state civil servants and citizens of the state for their unflinching support towards the success of his administration.

Earlier, Speaker of SOHA, Rt. Hon. Aminu Manya Achida said he was impressed with the achievements of the 2022 budget despite all the financial problem faced by the country and the state.

According to Achida, governor Tambuwal had recorded remarkable achievements in the areas of education, health, agriculture, infrastructure among others while adding that the 2023 budget is a balanced one that takes into cognizance some needs of the people, this its flexibility.
