This Will Be Your Last Sallah In Hardship, PDP @ Your Door Campaign Assures Nigerians

Unhappy about the low key celebration that would be witnessed today (Tuesday August 21) as Muslim faithful mark the annual Eid-el-Kabir in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) @ Your Door Campaign has assured that by next celebration, things would have turned out for better.

This was expressed in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available on Tuesday.

“Even as we rejoice with billions of Muslims the world over as the observe the religious sacrifice of Eid-el-Kabir, we are saddened that most faithful in Nigeria are not getting the best out of the celebration.

“The economic policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government which is bereft of ideas has made Nigerians poorer in its three years of governance, resulting in weaker economy and less purchasing power, in spite of a geometrically progressing inflation,” it stated.

The group said that they were optimistic that by May 29, 2019 when a government controlled by the PDP and its coalition comes into power, dehumanizing poverty and deprivation currently being witnessed in all regions of the country would become a thing of the past.

“We have confidence that any of the aspirants vying for the office of the president would do better than the present crop of those at helm of affairs of the country. We are amused that the ruling party is intimidated by the profile of most of the candidates and has resulted to sponsored mud slinging, a trick Nigerians are now aware of and just sigh when they come across,” it added.

PDP @ Your Door Campaign said that its National Coordinator, Comrade Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani personally extends his goodwill message to all patriotic Nigerians, while calling on Muslim faithful to cry out to Allah as they make their sacrifices.

“The National Coordinator also urged well to do Muslims to share even more of what they have in these times of despair to the needy,” it concluded.
