Tragedy has hit Benue Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as no fewer than 30 persons were said to have died on their way to the flag off of the Senatorial campaign of the party’s candidate in Zone C.
AUTHENTIC News Daily gathered from a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, PDP, Benue State, Bemgba Iortyom, on 28/12/2018 made this known.“The Benue State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been thrown into great grief and mourning following the tragic loss of over 30 party faithful in a road accident earlier this morning in the Zone Senatorial District of the state.
“The party faithful were travelling to the venue of the flag-off of the Senatorial Campaign of candidate of the party in the Benue-South Senatorial District, Comrade Patrick Abba Moro, which was slated to hold in Agatu today,” it stated.
It further informed that the event has been postponed in honour of the dead and a new date will be scheduled for it soon.
