US Forces Killed 55 Venezuelan, Cuban Military Personnel In Maduro Raid

Official reports from Caracas and Havana have confirmed that fifty-five military personnel were killed during the United States special operations raid to capture Nicolas Maduro on Saturday.

The Venezuelan military provided its first formal update on Tuesday, stating that twenty-three of its service members lost their lives during the intense attacks that led to the removal of Maduro from power.

While the Venezuelan government has acknowledged these military fatalities, an official count for civilian casualties remains unavailable at this time, Meanwhile, the Cuban government released a detailed list of its losses, confirming that thirty-two members of its armed forces and interior ministry security personnel died in the Caracas raids.

These individuals, who were reportedly assigned to protection and advisory duties in the capital, ranged in age from twenty-six to sixty-seven years.

The casualties include high-ranking officers, specifically two colonels and one lieutenant colonel.

The announcement comes as international scrutiny grows regarding the human cost of the weekend’s military intervention.
