The Sokoto state government on Wednesday presented no fewer than 22 vehicles to the state Chief Judge and 21 High Court ,Shariah Court of Appeal Judges and Khadis in the state.
The beneficiary judicial officers comprised of newly appointed and those appointed by the immediate past administration according to the Secretary to the State Government , Muhammadu Bello Sifawa who disclosed in his welcome address where he reiterated the governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto led administration’s resolve to drive responsive and cordial relations with other arms of government in its transformation process for a better Sokoto state.
He described the judiciary as an important and integral part that drives democracy and good governance through judicial functions.
At the formal presentation performed by the state APC Leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko who described the judiciary as a fundamental arm of government noted that the judiciary has a critical role to play in the process of dispensation of justice and should not be compromised by any government to enable it perform it role .
According to Wamakko ” the judiciary must not be toyed with in defence of the rights and dispensation of justice for the common man(public).
He said no responsible government would fail to provide the necessary environment and requirements that would enable smooth and acceptable process in the course of discharging it’s constitutional role to the public .
” That is why the current administration of governor Aliyu Sokoto takes the Judiciary in high esteem and ensure all that will enable quick and smooth dispensation of justice were provided to ease its functions.
” This governor has what it takes to be on board and his government is committed to doing what would ease your work of discharging your constitutional role to the public without difficulty.
” He is in tune with policies and programmes that address and respects all aspects of governance for the benefit of the state”, he remarked as he assured that nothing and no one would be left in the development process through the instrumental trajectory of the governor’s 9-point smart agenda initiatives.”
