THE promise to strengthen commitment to providing employment and encourage even human development across the state was the message of hope by the Sokoto state All Progressives Congress(APC) to electorates at the flag off of the 2019 general elections campaign in Dange/Shuni local government on Sunday.
The party’s Guber candidate, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu unveiled the planned policy ahead of his anticipated victory to supporters stressing that human capital development was key and cardinal to driving the state to a remarkable level of prosperity.
According to the immediate past deputy to sitting governor Tambuwal, ” we have noticed the enormous challenges and lack of attention to human capital development, youth empowerment, education and health which are fast stagnating the state.
Aliyu stressed that reversing the trend through responsive measures that would guarantee better opportunities and sense of belonging among people of Sokoto state remain cardinal to making majority across the state self reliant and financially independent through legitimate means of survival.
He explained that embarking on such agenda would further launch the state on the right pedestal to realising its dream of becoming more prosperous.
” If given the mandate, our government will strengthen relations and work closely with civil servants, security agencies and traditional leaders for the state to regain its lost glory in all aspects of development”, he vowed.
However, the state APC leader and Chairman, Northern Senators Forum( NSF), Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko who acknowledged the uncommon collective support and loyalty of people of the state to APC and President Muhammadu Buhari, reiterated that the President remain committed to the well being and living standard of Nigerians with assurance for a free, fair and credible election.
According to Wamakko who is also the Chairman, senate committee on Basic and Secondary Education” all APC candidates across the state and the country are patriotic, people of good reputable with sense of dedication and drive for human development.”
In his brief remarks, the state party Chairman Alhaji Sadiq Achida, called on members and supporters to sustain the unprecedented followership by mobilising more support for APC candidates across the state.
Meanwhile, no fewer than 10,900 PDP defectors from Tambuwal and Dange/Shuni LGs were received into the opposition APC fold in the state.
