The Governor of Nassarawa State, Alhaji Tanko Almakura has said that the 8th Senate under Senator Dr. Bukola Saraki, is a blessing to Nigeria as the doggedness of the upper chamber of the National Assembly in addressing the decay of infrastructural development attests.
He said that the tireless efforts of the Senate Committee on Works to oversee Federal Government projects across the country to ensure that the needful is done, remained unequalled in the country.
The governor stated this when members of the Senate Committee on Works on oversight function of projects in North-Central States visited him in government house, Lafia.
Almakura said that Nigerians should be thankful to the Senate president for appointing a seasoned politician in Senator Kabiru Gaya to preside over the committee.
The Senate committee on Works was in Nassarawa State to oversee work on Loko Road. The communities also was at the Oju-Loko-Owetor Road where they met with the contractor Messers Renold Construction Company (RCC) Gitto Construction Nig Ltd. The chairman of the committee, Senator Kabiru Gaya (APC) Kano South told the contractors to ensure that the work is completed on schedule to alleviate the sufferings of the people and facilitate transportation of farm produce to urban areas.
Responding, the RCC director assured that all contractual agreement will followed to the later adding that work will be concluded on schedule.
