The lawmaker representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency of Niger State, Hon. Abubakar Abdul Buba, has urged his daughter, Aisha Abubakar Buba, to love and respect her husband by adhering to his guidance, in line with Quranic principles. Hon. Buba gave the advice during the wedding ceremony between Aisha and Hon. Ayuba Usman Katako, the Executive Chairman of Rafi Local Government Council of Niger State, held in Minna.
Expressing joy over the union, Hon. Buba revealed that the relationship between the couple blossomed naturally without his prior knowledge, describing it as “God-ordained.” He emphasized the importance of upholding family values and referenced the Quran, which describes men as protectors and maintainers of women.
“I advise my daughter to follow her husband’s guidance, as the Quran teaches us. I pray that God blesses this union and gives them a lasting and happy marriage. I will not interfere in their decisions but will continue to pray for their success and happiness,” the lawmaker stated.
In his remarks, Hon. Ayuba Usman Katako praised Aisha’s character and strong upbringing, attributing it to her parents’ positive influence. He expressed his commitment to loving and supporting his new wife, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in building a strong and peaceful home.
“My admiration for Aisha grew from her solid upbringing, both in faith and moral discipline. I am committed to loving her, respecting her, and working together to build a happy home. I also advise her to avoid external influences that may harm our marriage, and instead, let us always resolve our differences together,” Hon. Katako said.
The event was attended by family, friends, political associates, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the couple’s new journey.
