Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe has dismissed allegations of corruption leveled by the Senegalese government following a decision to strip Senegal of its Africa Cup of Nations title.

The dispute centers on CAF’s move to overturn Senegal’s 1-0 victory against Morocco in the January 18 final and subsequently award the championship to the host nation.
This unprecedented ruling has prompted the Senegalese government to demand an international investigation into the governing body’s internal processes.
Speaking during a visit to the region Motsepe defended the institution’s integrity while addressing the escalating tensions between the football confederation and Senegalese authorities.
