Governor Alia made the appeal on Sunday at the Government House in Makurdi while receiving 15 of the rescued victims.
The candidates were among several passengers abducted on April 15 when gunmen intercepted a Benue Links bus in the Otukpo Local Government Area.
The students were traveling to their designated centers in Otukpo when they were taken into the bush. Following a coordinated search operation by security operatives across neighboring states, all victims were successfully rescued.
The governor emphasized that the candidates missed their examinations due to circumstances beyond their control and urged the examination body to grant them a fair opportunity to sit for the test.
