The National Sports Commission announced the immediate dissolution of the governing boards of six National Para Sports Federations on Monday in Abuja to pave the way for transparent and credible leadership elections.

The sweeping administrative directive affects the national federations for Amputee Football, Para Athletics, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, Para Soccer, and Para Volleyball.
In an official statement issued by Kola Daniel, the Special Assistant on Media to the NSC Director-General, the Commission explained that the restructuring aims to strengthen internal governance structures.
This decision ensures that the forthcoming federated elections strictly adhere to established national principles of fairness, accountability, and institutional transparency.
