The controversy began after Carter Efe claimed during an interview with content creator Egungun of Lagos that he graduated from the university with a First-Class Upper degree, later posting the alleged certificate on X (formerly Twitter).
Babcock University swiftly debunked the claims, announcing plans to pursue legal action against those responsible for the forgery.
Responding to the varsity’s legal threat during a recent live stream, Carter Efe mocked the institution, declaring that he would only show up if the school paid a ₦100,000 “ticket fee” just to see him.
