The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.

The examination body announced the release via its official X account on Wednesday, advising candidates to visit its portal to check their performance. Over 1.9 million candidates across the nation took part in the examinations, which were conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026.
According to WAEC, candidates must generate their Serial Number and PIN before accessing their online results. To obtain these credentials, candidates are required to log onto the official WAEC website, select the “Serial Number and PIN” option, choose the appropriate examination year and diet, and enter their examination number alongside the National Identification Number (NIN) used during registration.
Candidates must also supply a valid email address and phone number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP). Once verified, the generated Serial Number and PIN can be used on the WAEC Direct portal to retrieve their results.
