In a series of social media posts, the singer clarified that his legal request had always been for joint custody rather than sole care, contrary to ongoing public speculation.
Davido revealed that he chose to discontinue the case after opposing counsel allegedly made distressing references to his late son during cross-examination, an act he described as a “low blow” and “unacceptable.”
He further criticized the opposing legal team for what he termed unprofessional and “wicked” conduct during the proceedings.
Despite the withdrawal, the artiste maintained that he would continue to be a responsible father and that his daughter would grow up knowing he fought for her presence in his life.
