The minister delivered the warning on Wednesday during the distribution of newly procured armored vehicles to security agencies in Sokoto State, reinforcing the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening national security architecture.
Addressing troops deployed to operational zones, the former Chief of Defence Staff emphasized that personnel bear an immediate responsibility to confront criminal elements without waiting for secondary directives.
Musa stressed that tactical weapons and military hardware are funded by taxpayers and must be used decisively to protect civilian lives and property.
While urging immediate engagement, the minister noted that equipment alone cannot secure lasting peace, reiterating that professionalism, discipline, intelligence-led operations, and robust inter-agency coordination remain critical to defeating insecurity across the region.
