In strong adherence to the admonition and counsel of our highly respected traditional ruler,His Eminent Royal Majesty, the Onojie of Ewu Kingdom, Barr. AbdulRasak Isesele Ojiefoh 111, Ewu Youth are hardworking, peace-loving and law-abiding who can never be taken for granted nor for a ride. Arising from the above, we wish to use this medium to restate our call on our teeming youth not to allow themselves to be used by any person or group of persons to perpetuate crime nor engage on any untoward activities that will sore the good image of the good people of Ewu. Rather, they should be law-abiding always, anytime, and anyday as good ambassadors of our dear kingdom. Moving forward, we want to also use this medium to once again call on the Federal Government of Nigeria led by Muhammadu Buhari, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Senator Clifford Ordia, Hon. Sergius Ogun, Hon. Joe Edionwele to immediately do the needful by fast-tracking the speedy completion of the road which has become a death-trap for the diverse road users. This call has become more expedient and imperative because the patience of our people is gradually being overstressed as elasticity of human endurance has limit. Much as we don't subscribe to violence as an instrument of co-operation and negotiation, we also dont want a situation our people will be pushed to the wall. The essence of having a government is to protect, promote and provide for the welfare of the citizens. In conclusion therefore, the government and our various political representatives must be held responsible and accountable for the countless numbers of lives that have been lost to the cold hands of death via the unfortunate state of the road.
Signed: Comr,Isikhuemen Easy E President Ewu Youths.
