The Vice President (North West) Comrade Wassh Waziri Hong of the Actors Guild of Nigeria has presented a cheque of 200,000 naira to Mohammad Sabiu Ibrahim aka Baba Tata, who has been bedridden with stroke for three years.
Comrade Wass who was accompanied by the Chairperson of the guild in Kaduna, Hajia Salma Ibrahim to the residence of the recepient in Mando, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state said “The purpose of the visit was to present a cheque of two hundred thousand naira, as welfare package initiated by the Emeka Rollas led government of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, to cater for vulnerable members who can not afford to pay their hospital bills”.
Receiving the money, the beneficiary, Mallam Sabiu, on behalf of his family thanked the President and leadership of the guild for the financial assistance.
The village head of the community, who was present at the occasion in his remark said “This kind gesture is worthy of emulation and will go a long way in uniting the guild”.
He advised the leadership of the AGN to not allow sentiment to over shadow the good will, and prayed for the success of the leadership of the guild in all of their endeavour.
The Vice President was accompanied to the presentation by, Mallam Abayomi Mohammad Alabi, Mallam Isa Hassan and members of the press.
