Sanga LGA, Nigeria — May 2025
In a country where access to higher education often comes at a steep cost, many students find themselves struggling to pay tuition fees, purchase study materials, or even afford basic living expenses. For students from Sanga Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna State, however, help is on the horizon — thanks to the vision and commitment of one of their own: Hon. Samuel Isa Shamaki.

The Samuel Isa Shamaki’s Students’ Intervention Scheme (SISSIS) is back for its second edition, offering much-needed financial support to students of Sanga origin enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
A Lifeline for Students
Launched as a response to the growing challenges faced by young scholars, SISSIS is more than just a bursary scheme — it’s a statement of faith in the power of education to transform lives and communities.
“The goal of this initiative is to ease the burden on our students, many of whom are facing unprecedented financial challenges due to rising tuition fees and the overall economic situation in the country,” Hon. Shamaki shared during the announcement. “We believe that by supporting their academic journeys, we are investing in the future of Sanga.”
Who Can Apply?
The scheme is exclusively for indigenes of Sanga LGA studying at any tertiary institution within Nigeria. To qualify, applicants must submit the following:
- A valid Indigene Form
- A copy of their latest semester result
- An admission letter or proof of payment of school fees
- A functional phone number
- Their ward of origin in Sanga LGA
Applicants must ensure they meet all these requirements, as incomplete submissions or multiple applications will result in automatic disqualification.
Second Chances
In a heartening move, the scheme will give special consideration to students who applied during the first edition of the programme but did not make the final list due to the limited number of slots. This approach underscores the inclusive spirit of the initiative, ensuring that no deserving student is left behind.
How to Apply
Interested students are encouraged to submit their applications via email to shamakiintervention@gmail.com on or before June 3, 2025. The names of successful applicants will be published through the same platforms used to announce the scheme, and the method of disbursing the funds will be communicated directly to the shortlisted candidates.
Investing in the Future
The Students’ Intervention Scheme is just one of several grassroots initiatives championed by Hon. Shamaki, reflecting his deep commitment to educational empowerment and community development.
As the deadline approaches, eligible students across Sanga are encouraged to seize this opportunity, not just for the financial relief it offers, but as a testament to what community-focused leadership can achieve.
For many, the SISSIS is more than just a scheme — it’s a symbol of hope, a reminder that even in challenging times, there are leaders willing to invest in the dreams of the next generation.
