The ruling All Progressives Congress in Sokoto state has attributed the electoral victory and successes recorded by governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto administration to his mentor and party Leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
It said the lofty and giant strides being recorded were a result of Wamakko’s foresight for making an excellent choice in Aliyu Sokoto.
Sadik Isah Achida, Sokoto state APC Chairman remarked while briefing journalists on the transformation strides being recorded by the APC led government in the state.
He said Wamakko has proven to the political world that he has the capacity and approach to deliver to the people of Sokoto state the right and competent choice to reposition the state for their benefit.
According to Achida ” Today, our governor stands out among equals as a true and worthy Ambassador of APC.
” We are proud of his abilities in leadership . This is what we missed in the 8 years of shadow chasing administration of his predecessor who could not showcase anything.
” Tambuwal only succeeded in initiating many other abandoned projects notably the Rijiya flyover which he could not complete not until the coming of our amiable and purposeful governor who completed it in no time among others at various stages of completion for public use “, he stated.
According to Achida” My Governor has turned out to be an Excellent Choice. He has proved all cynics wrong.”
The APC Chairman noted with passion, saying ” The difference between Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and his predecessor is crystal clear for everyone to see, because while the previous Government sold off all Government houses and could not account for the money, Aliyu Sokoto constructed a total of 1136 houses, made up of 500 at Gidan Salanke, 500 at Wajake, Wamakko Local Government and the 136 housing units purchased from the Federal Housing Authority.”
The governor according to Achida had since embarked on numerous road construction, rehabilitation as well remodelling of all metropolitan round abouts to give the state capital a befitting look.
” These have also ended the era of potholes on our major roads which has the advantage of improving the lifespan of our vehicles and ease vehicular and other road users movements”, he pointed out.
