Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has said that the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, remain a pivot of unity in driving administration policies that fosters development for the advancement of the country.
Aliyu Sokoto made the remark on Tuesday in Sokoto while receiving on courtesy call members of the state chapter of the institute’s Alumni.
He noted that NIPPS has made landmark strides in bracing administrative capacity for good governance, hence the need for the state chapter alumni to close ranks with government by contributing to thr development of the state at individual and collective levels.
” We are ready and willing to collaborate with you for a responsive partnership that will gorge the state ahead”, , the governor said .
He appreciated the members for driving an initiative that promoted brotherhood among themselves ading that ” my doors are open to you and welcome initiatives for partnership that will help develop the state.”
He stated that the training in policy and strategies acquired by the members were broad enough to strengthen their capacity to support the state government in policies and administration for the benefit of citizens.
” We have long mutual understanding with NIPPS. We donated 2 vehicles to the institute’s Muslim community and will continue to sustain the tie”, assured governor Sokoto who also promised to look into the request of the Alumni members.
Earlier, the state chairman , Shehu Usman Ladan who led other Exco and members thanked the governor for finding it members worthy for appointment into his cabinet, a testimony that reflected the hi Ernie’s resilience for the peace and harmony of the state.
He described the emergence of the governor at the 2023 polls a mark of trust and confidence the people of Sokoto had in him.
” This is evident in your transformation agenda for the state which is fast yielding results in line with the yearnings and aspirations of people of the state.
” You have significantly laid a solid foundation for the development of the state.
According to Ladan” our members are ready to support the state government in the areas of policy development, capacity building and administrative strategies.”
The Chairman said responsive partnership would pave the way for a better society with resilient future for all.
However, Ladan , made some strategic requests for facility and vehicles to enhance activities the chapter for the advancement of the state .
