Ground Zero Town Hall Meeting: Mailafia, Abdul Bako Score Buhari Low

Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank and Development Economist, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia has scored President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressive Congress government in the last five years below failure “F” Mark.

Similarly, President, Campaign for Democracy, CD, Comrade Abdul Bako gave the government a below pass mark. Both said their assessment was based on the fact that the government has failed woefully to secure the life and prosperities of Nigeria.

Dr. Mailafia gave the score mark Saturday July 4, 2020, during Invicta FM’s Ground Zero Virtual Townhall Meeting. The Programme was anchored by the Host of Invicta flagship programme- Ground Zero, Ehis Agbon where participants X-rayed President Muhammadu Buhari’s five years in the areas of Fight against Corruption, Insecurity and Inequality.

However, President, Nigeria Union of Journalist, Chris lsiguzo, gave a fair score on the government in the three areas under review. He said government has done fairly in the area of insecurity, as it has put serious effort towards  containing it in the Northeast, adding that it was still work in progress.

In his contribution, the Director-General, Bureau for Public Service Reforms, BPSR, Malam Dasuki Arabi, called on all Nigerians to join hands in supporting this government to deliver on its reform agenda.

Invicta FM Correspondent, Ango Bally who monitored the Townhall Meeting, reports that other participants who made rich contributions on the topic under review, include Dr. Cosmos Anyankudo from UK, Engineer Charlse Sado, From the US, Barrister Gloria Ballason of House of Justice, Kaduna, Danjuma Abbas Dangwa and Yusuf Goje, respectively.
