Self engagement into beneficial ventures and peaceful co-existence were yesterday the dispassionate appeal by Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto to the Nigerian youths for the country’s future greatness.
He said those were the basic ingredients needed to launch the youths on the path self reliance and patriotism to justify felicitating Nigeria’s mark of prosperity at independence commemoration
Similarly, the governor said Nigerians should not allow the country challenges to hinder the joy of celebrating its independence.
Tambuwal made the remark at a live special interactive session with various youth groups and students in Sokoto state, to commemorate Nigeria’s part of the Nigeria 59 Independence anniversary.
At the International Conference Centre,Sokoto venue of the epoch making event, Tambuwal stated that the anniversary worth celebrating by patriotic Nigerians.
The governor noted that the legacies and struggles by the country’s past hero’s should not be in vein hence” Nigerians have cause to celebrate in recognition of their contributions as our founding brothers .”
According to former HoRs Speaker, Nigerians world over have to thank God and extend our tribute to President Muhammadu Buhari and all Nigerians for the historic celebration.”
Besides, the governor further noted that most Nigerians were not happy with the face identity of the country today, adding that ” but we shall continue to celebrate our country’s independence.
Tambuwal further called on Nigerian youths to continue to pursue more education in order to remain productive and self reliance.
“Youths would always remain leaders of today and tomorrow by God grace.The state government will ensure the building and reshaping their capacities as generational future leaders.”
He appealed for their involvement in the scheme of government affairs by extending useful advise and support in their best possible ways for the desired success and greatness of the state and nation in general
