Kaduna, Nigeria – The Commissioner of Health, Hajiya Umma K. Ahmed, has lauded the Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, for fostering an enabling environment for institutional growth and prioritizing the healthcare workforce.
Hajiya Umma expressed her gratitude during the matriculation ceremony of the 2023/2024 National Diploma students in Nursing and Midwifery at the Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery.
In her address, the Commissioner underscored the pivotal role of nurses in patient care and community health. She encouraged the students to uphold values of empathy and professionalism, emphasizing that their dedication to learning would shape their careers and touch the lives of countless patients.
“The Kaduna State Government remains committed to supporting your academic and professional journeys,” Hajiya Umma assured the matriculating students.
Dr. Yusuf Bello, the Provost of the college, in his welcome remarks, urged the students to lay solid foundations during their studies by engaging fully in both academic and practical experiences. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and training, expressing pride in the new cohort of students.
The event was graced by dignitaries, including the Director of Nursing Services from the Ministry of Health, regulatory bodies, members of the political class, clerics, parents, and well-wishers.
