KDSG bans refilling of gas in residential, high-risk areas

The Kaduna State Government has banned gas retail shops in residential and high-risk areas with immediate effect.

By this directive, all retail gas refill shops operating in the said areas are to shut down.

Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State, announced the decision after inspecting the scene of a fatal gas explosion that occurred on Saturday.

Similarly, ministries and agencies concerned with public safety have also been directed to review high risk businesses in residential areas and come up with a relocation plan with immediate effect.
