Famous Nigerian musician and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has publicly called for an emergency public hearing to address the persistent failure of the Federal Government to adequately equip the Nigerian military, despite huge budgetary allocations for ammunition each year.

Falz made the call on Monday while reacting to the deteriorating security situation across the country.
Describing the current climate as “a national security emergency,” the singer charged every citizen to take direct action. He urged Nigerians to “contact their Reps and senators with coordinated emails, phone calls and WhatsApp messages” to press the issue.
Specifically, Falz urged citizens to demand an emergency public hearing to address three key areas: The concrete strategy required to defeat terrorism, Rumours of an ill-equipped military, A plan for how Nigerian citizens will be kept safe.
