New Wage: Tambuwal applauded for effective, immediate implementation

Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state was at the weekend  applauded for joining the league of Nigerian Governors to implement  the new national minimum wage approved by the Federal Government.
The new wage has been effectively reflected in civil servants salary of January 2020.

Similarly, the resolve by Tambuwal to complete all inherited projects initiated by the previous administrations of governors Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa and his successor, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko  has been described as good omen to the state and its citizens.
” It is our belief these projects if successfully executed will lay a concrete and solid foundation for next coming administration to build upon as well as a memorable legacy to be bequeathed by Mutawalle administration.”

In a statement  jointly signed and made available to newsmen weekend by Muhammad  Abdullahi Sokoto, a Special Assistant to the Governor and Chairman, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Support Group and his Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmad(A.A) said the governor deserved to be commended for ensuring Tue implementation of the new wage within the shortest possible time in line with the federal government approved scheme.
The statement also noted with delight, the governor’s approval to implement  same for LG staff and primary school teachers across the state.
” It is interesting that the salary was implemented within the shortest possible time and exactly according to the Federal Government approved scheme as well as approval for the implementation of same to Local Government Staff and Primary School Teachers in the State”, the duo stated.
However, the duo in the e statement recalled that governor Tambuwal had in his inaugural speech on 29th May, 2019 announced the setting up of a committee to work out modalities for the effective implementation of the new national minimum wage and and subsequently received the report of the committee early January, 2020 and promised to commence implementation same month.
This, the governor did without any hitch and to the satisfaction of all the beneficiaries adding that” This development is a clear indication of the Governor’s determination and commitment to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people of the State.
” Going by the contents of the over Two Hundred Billion Naira appropriation for 2020 fiscal law signed by the Governor, it is evident from the projects earmarked for execution that the Governor is aiming at taking the State to a greater height in the shortest possible time.”
Hitherto, the statement pointed out that if the projects were completed they will go along way in alleviating the sufferings of both urban and rural populace in the State.

Accordingly, AMWATA appealed to civil servants in the state to reciprocate the gesture by red educating to duty and be loyal to the government of the day.To other well meaning citizens in the state they should support the government by fervently praying for its success as well as assist in any way possible towards achieving its noble objectives.
