Alhaji Muhammadu Mannir Dan’Iya, Deputy Governor of Sokoto has hailed the emergence of Governor Kayode Fayemibof Ekiti state as the newly elected Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum(NGF) and his Sokoto state counterpart, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as Vice chairman.
Dan Iya who congratulated the duo for their emergence as contained in a release issued Thursday in Sokoto by his Director of Press, Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar said the emergence of the duo was a testimony of their competence, abilities and acceptance by the colleagues to lead the forum in good spirit that would translate to prosperity for Nigerians and democracy.
According to the statement, “The government and good people of Sokoto Happily rejoice with our Governor Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal ( Mutawallen Sokoto) on his Election as Vice Chairman of Nigerian Governor’s Forum and also, in turn, Congratulates the New Chairman of the Forum Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
“No doubt the Duo are exemplary Leaders in their respective regions, Affiliations and in a larger context the Nigerian Politics.
“Having Dr Fayemi and Governor Tambuwal to spear-head the Leadership of Nigerian Governor’s for the next dispensation will translate to Good work, teamwork and realigning the current political structure of the Governor’ forum for effective performance to the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate.
“Once more on behalf of Government and Good People of Sokoto Congratulates the duo for this accomplishment as we pray the journey they are about to undertake should be smooth, fruitful and be a lasting solution to most of Nigerian’s Problems” , the statement concluded.
