Nigeria’s most capped football legend, Ahmed Musa, has officially announced his retirement from international football, bringing a celebrated fifteen-year career to a close.

The former Super Eagles captain shared the news on Wednesday via his social media accounts, reflecting on a journey that began over a decade ago. Musa leaves the national team as the all-time record holder for appearances, having represented the country one hundred and eleven times.
In his emotional farewell, the veteran forward described his record-breaking tenure as a massive honor, noting that he always felt a deep sense of responsibility while wearing the national colors.
Throughout his career, which spanned from two thousand and ten to twenty-twenty-five, Musa became a symbol of consistency and leadership for Nigerian fans. While he is stepping away from the pitch, the former captain emphasized that his bond with the country remains unbroken and that he will continue to support the team from the sidelines.
