Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, representing Sokoto North Senatorial District in the National Assembly,has appointed the Sokoto State Correspondent and an Assistant Editor -In-Chief of the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) Bashir Rabe Mani, as his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.
Mani’s appointment was conveyed to him in a letter signed by the Director of
Administration to the former Governor of the State, Alhaji Almustapha Abubakar, on behalf of Wamakko.
The appointee was a 1991 Graduate of Mass Communications from Bayero University,Kano.
He had worked briefly as an Editor with the Katsina State Radio, Katsina, between 1992 and 1993, after his National Youths Service( NYSC), with Akwa Ibom State Radio, Uyo, between 1991 and 1992.
Mani joined NAN on June 16,1993 and had worked in its offices in Bida, Niger State, Funtua, Katsina State and Sokoto State, since then, to his new appointment.
