The Chairman, Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education Senator Aliyu Magatarkada Wamakko and the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu on Thursday conducted a joint audit inspection of facilities at the Federal Government Girls College, Bwari-Abuja.
Bashir Rabe Mani, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Wamakko said in a statement made available to reporters in Sokoto that the general inspection of the school was carried out ranging from ongoing projects, teachers and other related issues.
Accordingly, the joint team visit was also at the newly constructed modern e-Library, among the ongoing projects inspected.
However, the satement said, some abandoned projects were seen during the inspection, while some challenges of the school were also presented to the high level management audit for prompt action.
It further said that a public complain was presented to Senator Wamakko on the need to bring sokoto state indigenes for admission into the school.
In his remarks shorly after the inspection visit, Senator Wamakko expressed happiness with what he saw during the visit and promised to take urgent action to redress all the observed lapses.
Similarly, the Minister, Malam Adamu Adamu, promised to do everything humbly possible to tackle the highlighted challenges.
