The Kano State command of the Nigeria Police has warned miscreants intending to carry out illegal acts during Sallah to change their thinking and stay away from Kano as the force will not relent in in bringing them to justice.
This warning was sounded in a Press Briefing by the Police Commissioner, CP Rabiu Yusuf, signed by the spokesperson of the force, DSP Magaji Musa Majia, in Kano on Wednesday, 21 June, 2017.
The Press Briefing which was organised to brief the media on the collaboration between the various security agency read in full:-
The Kano State Police Command had in collaboration with the Army, Air force, DSS, NDLEA and Civil Defence Corps, conducted an operation Code named “Show of Force” in Kano to demonstrate our collective resolve towards providing comprehensive security to lives and properties across the State. The operation which took-off from Bompai Police Command Headquarters went through various routes in the metropolitan with a view to building Public confidence on the Security Agencies towards providing security for peaceful Eid el Fitr celebrations and to showcase our resolved commitment to confronting any form of security challenges. Any person or group of persons that are intending to carry out any illegal act are hereby warned to change their thinking and stay away from Kano as we will not relent in tracking and arresting them.
We therefore, call on the good people of the State to continue to be law abiding and accord all necessary cooperation to security agencies in the State.
