THE twelve lawmakers of the Sokoto state House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) at the weekend formally presented Hon. Farouk Malami Yabo with the nomination and expression of interest form purchased for the governorship aspirant.
Yabo is one of the leading contenders within the Sokoto APC warming for Tambuwal’s seat.
Presenting the form toYabo in Sokoto at a brief ceremony amidst party faithful and supporters, Hon. Garba Sidi on behalf of the legislators said their action was informed by the overwhelming sense of political resilience, sacrifice and credibility of the aspirant.
” We are emphatically convinced by your character, leadership qualities and knowledge of the political dynamics of our party as well your ability to demonstrate what Sokoto people are seeking in a leader to drive them to prosperity.
” We are comfortable with your leadership qualities and visionary politics”, Sidi said.
The lawmaker further expressed his appreciation to members of APC in the state and the generality of people of the state for their unequal sense of support to the party” we acknowledge the unprecedented support to our party and its entire leadership under our able Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.”
Receiving the form, Hon. Yabo who was overwhelmingly glad thanked the lawmakers for the gesture” I can’t thank you enough for this rare and invaluable support and love shown to me.
” My ambition is hinged on the strength of public call to service which I have no choice than to reciprocate by accepting to contest.
” All I need, is your prayer and support for our great party to succeed at the polls. I will also thank our members, our teeming supporters and well wishers and people of the state for their unprecedented love for APC”, he said.
It will be recalled that the lawmakers had last Friday purchased the form for the aspirant to actualise his ambition on the party’s platform.
