Governor Aminu Waziri Waziri Tambuwal has said that members of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) remain united, resolute and focused as one, indivisible family.
According to the governor” it is a sign and symbol of PDP’s strength in the state which demonstrates our unflinching resilience and readiness to realise our dream of winning. “
Similarly, the Tambuwal warned PDP and its members to disregard any rumour of purported rift within the party as it is false and baseless.
“There is mutual respect between himself and former Governor Alh Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa and I am particularly thankful to people of the state for their continued support to my Administration.”
Tambuwal made the remark Saturday night in Sokoto while at an all important stakeholders meeting of the party.
However, the meeting was held at the Presidential Lodge banquet hall, Sokoto.
He said since his defection to the party, his relationship with leaders of the party and members at all levels was cordial and waxing stronger.
He stressed that the exising unity among PDP members was. sequuel to the patriotic disposition of both leaders and members of the party whose common goal was moving the state to the next level on the path of prosperity.
He insisted with a warning that ” there is no new or old member of PDP as there is only one solidly united party in the state”, urging members to mobilize new members.
However, the governor further explained that the delay in appointing local government sole administrators , commissioners and other government appointees was the desire of the government to ensure fairness and Justice among members and assured that such appointments would be made soon.
Speaking, former Governor and Presidential aspirant, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa said no one leader of the party in the than in the person of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, urging members of the party to support him in his course for the state.
The former two term governor of the State also charged the party members to ignore rumour mongers who always spread false news of rift among party Leader’s in the state.
Bafarawa further described such elements as “Prophets of doom”
Accordingly, the PDP presidential aspirant assured Governor Tambuwal of their unflinching support, advising him to always make his doors open for consultations with elders whenever the need arise.
He further implored members of the party not to be bother about their pesidential aspirations (himself and Tambuwal), explaining that it would never be a problem between them.
