The ruling All Progressives Congress , APC in Sokoto state has described as laughable, the ‘ pull them down ‘ syndrome strategy being adopted by the opposition People’s Democratic Party in the state for cheap popularity.

The party said it would rather listen to the positive voices of the masses than the rantings of rejected and frustrated politicians.

Sadik Isah Achida in a statement issued Thursday night to reporters in Sokoto said Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto remain focused, undeterred and cannot be distracted in his determination towards rebuilding and putting life to Sokoto state against the record of backwardness during the era of the immediate past PDP government.
According to Achida” Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto is a practical performer with high sense of resilience for even spread of development in the state.
” I have read the content of PDP Chairman’s letter on the road projects being executed by the new APC administration in the state and became convinced that the Sokoto state PDP is only envious of the intimidating achievements of Governor Ahmad Aliyu in less than fifty days in office.”
The Chairman continued :” The projects are meant to serve the interest of the people of Sokoto state and no amount of political blackmail will distract the new administration of the All Progressives Congress, under our able, progressive Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto”, he pointed out.
Achida in the statement further observed that the line of action toed by the opposition PDP in the state was being tele-guided from far away Plateau state which he stressed may not realise that Sokoto was fast changing for the better in all respects under the current APC government.
While noting that the strides being recorded by Governor Aliyu Sokoto within the short space of time upon assuming office was a tip of the iceberg as more were coming , the state APC party Chairman dispassionately advised that the Sokoto state PDP Chairman should
put politics aside, search his conscience and be patriotic enough to appreciate the Excellent work of Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, an achievement which, for eight years, their Government failed to bring about.
” We know the state PDP Chairman to be a gentleman. My advise to him is he should put politics aside, search his conscience and be patriotic enough to appreciate the Excellent work of Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, an achievement which, for eight years, their Government failed to bring about”, he maintained.
