The first session took place at 8:00 PM local time inside the main bowl of the Cairo International Stadium, initially featuring fifteen players who had arrived from their respective bases.

The team’s camp at the Renaissance Hotel opened exactly one week before their tournament opener in Morocco, with the technical crew led by head coach Eric Chelle focusing on integrating the squad and assessing the fitness levels of early arrivals.

Eagles are scheduled to play an unofficial practice match against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday before flying to their base in Fès, Morocco.

The Cairo training camp is intended to help the team fine-tune tactics and build chemistry ahead of their first Group C fixture against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars on December 23. Nigeria, three-time continental champions, are aiming for a fourth title in the tournament which is set to run through the holiday season and conclude on January 18, 2026.
