This achievement follows the team’s performance during the March international window under the leadership of coach Eric Chelle.
Despite the fluctuations of the international break, Nigeria managed to hold their ground, marking the country’s highest global placement in 16 years.
The last time the Super Eagles ranked higher was in May 2010, when they reached 21st in the world.
The net gain from these results was enough to keep Nigeria stable at the 26th spot, solidifying their status as one of the top-tier teams on the continent.
