Tambuwal reiterates commitment to reinvigorate Sokoto economy to glory

‎Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto has reiterated his administration’s commitment to re-invigorating all sectors of the state’s economy.

Tambuwal who reassured people of the state that good times were fast coming soon, made the remark today, Friday in his state wide broadcast to commemorate the sallah celebration.
However, the immediate past House of Representatives Speaker ‎pointed out that the sacred day of Arafat requires muslims to intensify Ibada(worship) to Allah, through Fasting, Superegatory Prayers, Zikr, alms giving and helping the needy among them.
In the same vein, he said his government would not relent in its efforts at rejuvenating the state’s economy to glory and to the benefit of people of the state.
According to Tambuwal, ” we will not relent in our efforts to re-invigorate all sectors of the economy in our dear state, which not only include Islamic Education; which is the mother, but all sectors including modern education, Health, Agriculture, providion of Roads and portable drinking water, among others.
The governor further remarked that before the advent of the APC government our country was in great distress, as we were caught in the most trial times of our history, which include Boko Haram insurgency and the near shut-down of all sectors of the economy. There was no water, no light and citizens were in-secure. Poverty had pervaded the nation with the majority of citizens impoverished.

” Inspite of the long way made to go we have modestly made impact on security, availability of petroleum and improved agricultural activities.

“I want to assure you that, we would not leave any stone unturned to meet our promises and the trust you had on us. By the special grace of Allah, we shall deliver.

“You might recall that few days ago, the president and Commander in-Chief, Muhammadu Buhari came back from Medical Vacation which took him three months.

“Thank God, the President is recuperating and by the grace of God, All would, very soon felt the dividends of democracy.

” What remains for us, is to continue to pray for God to rectify the affairs of our dear country.

” I pray to Allah to make peace prevalent in our country and ask him also to see to the safe return of our pilgrims”, he said.
