The case stems from an alleged altercation on January 6, 2026, at a lounge along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, where Odigie claimed she was verbally abused while purchasing food.

In a letter issued by her lawyer, Bola Osineye of FA Garrick & Co., Peller is accused of invading her privacy by posting a video of the incident online without consent.

Although the content creator had earlier apologised for sharing the clip, Odigie alleged that the video caused reputational damage and emotional distress.

She is seeking N395 million in damages over claims of defamation, cyberbullying, and the impact of the video’s widespread circulation.
