The move follows charges filed on March 18, 2026, targeting alleged financial impropriety during his tenure.
According to a statement released on Monday by ICPC spokesperson John Okor Odey, El-Rufai faces a multi-count charge alongside Joel Adoga.
While the federal arraignment is set for Tuesday, the ICPC noted that the date for the State High Court proceedings will be communicated at a later time.
This dual-track prosecution represents a significant escalation in the anti-corruption drive involving high-profile former public officials in the state.
