The move follows a directive from President Bola Tinubu, who described the attacks as a desperate response by terrorists under sustained military pressure.

The attacks occurred around 7:02 p.m. on Monday, when three suicide bombers struck major locations, including the Monday Market, the Post Office Flyover, and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

In a statement on Tuesday, the president condoled with victims’ families and commended security forces for repelling additional attacks on military positions.

Authorities said the relocation of security chiefs is aimed at strengthening counter-terrorism efforts and restoring stability in the state.
